One of the primary objective of training employees is to make them more productive and resourceful. Every company has a philosophy for training and has set targets which HR will try to achieve. The norm being 5 man days of training in soft skills per employee per year.

Training Budgets - All the expenses incurred are tracked and budgets created for next year Training Evaluation - Effectiveness is measured
Discussion : Training - Cost or Investment While HR feels that the any amount spent on training is for talent development and is sort of investing in the future of the employee - the costs must be treated as Investment. Those in Finance depart and to some extent some HR managers feel that is an amount spent hence it is Expenditure.
